REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Indonesia's Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) chairman, Megawati Soekarnoputri highlighted the problem of subsidized fuel occured in a number of districts and cities in Indonesia. According to her, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono's policy in reducing subsidized fuel quota was not the solution to resolve Indonesia's financial deficit.
She asked Yudhoyono to understand the situation in community.
"Jokowi has met with president. Government should adjust this policy with current situation," Megawati said recently.
Last year or at least before 2014 elections, Megawati always rejected government plan to increase fuel oil subsidy because there were other options that could be taken by government to save state budget. But now, the condition is different. For Megawati's party, the only one option is to rise the price.
