REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Vice President Jusuf Kalla chaired a meeting to discuss infrastructure development plans here on Monday.
"There are a few things in the future that we must improve regarding planning and scheduling," Kalla stated in the meeting attended by several ministers.
Among those present in the meeting were Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Sofyan Djalil, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Indroyono Soesilo, Research, Technology and Higher Education Minister Muhammad Nasir, and Public Works and Housing Minister Basuki Hadimuljono.
The meeting's agenda also included the working budget and executors of infrastructure development.
Last Wednesday, the vice president also held a meeting to discuss foreign loans/grants plan worth US$38 billion for infrastructure development also known as project Blue Book 2015 to 2019 of the National Development Plan Agency (Bappenas).
Some multinational financial agencies such as the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank (ADB), and the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) have offered loans/grants for the implementation of infrastructure development.
The infrastructure projects include the development of dams, roads, and bridges, power generation, electricity transmission, drinking water supply, and waste management, along with some social projects.
