REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Coordinating Minister for Politics, Law and Human Rights, Tedjo Edhy Purdijatno claimed that until now he did not know or got information related to the two former pilots from Indonesia who were members of the radical group Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS). He said that he will cooperate the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT), the State Intelligence Agency (BIN), and the police.
"We don’t yet received the information, then if we get the right infomation. Later I will talk with BIN, police, and BNPT and so on, "said Tejo in the Vice President’s office, Jakarta, on Thursday, July 9.
Furthermore, Tedjo insisted that the government will take steps to anticipate the development of ISIS in Indonesia. Therefore, it will continue to monitor and supervise the movement of this radical group.
Meanwhile, the Foreign Ministry spokesman, Arrmanatha Nasir conveyed that the Foreign Ministry could not confirm related to two former pilots from Indonesia who was members of the radical group Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
"We know this information is also on the news this morning. Now, we had contacted the security forces such as police, BNPT, Densus 88 and to confirm both of these cases," said Tata, nickname of Armanatha in Foreign Ministry’s Office, Central Jakarta, on Thursday, July 9.
According to Tata, Indonesian security forces have the ability to monitor citizens who involved with the radical group. However, because there was quite a lot and not all verified, it became the challenges which faced by Indonesia.
