REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Director of the Protection of Indonesia Citizens and Indonesia Legal Entities, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lalu Muhammad Iqbal, said that 10 Indonesian crew of Al Aman ship has arrived at Soekarno Hatta Airport, on Thursday (13/8) afternoon.
The crew members who were stranded in the Somali waters, were arrived by using Qatar Airways 956. Iqbal said that the crew were flown from Nairobi.
"The Foreign Ministry has handed over directly to the manning agent to be sent to their hometown, " said Iqbal to Republika Online, Thursday (13/8) night.
Previously, Al Aman ship owned and operated by a firm from Yaman was stranded in Somali waters due to storm, Tuesday (4/8). From the 32 crews, 12 of them are Indonesian.
