REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and his counterpart from Guinea Alpha Conde discussed efforts to boost bilateral trade ties.

The head of state supports an increase in trade between Indonesia and Guinea, Indonesian Foreign Affairs Minister Retno L.P. Marsudi stated after accompanying Jokowi to a bilateral meeting with President Conde, here, Wednesday.

Jokowi expressed gratitude to Conde for his participation in the World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF) being held at the Jakarta Convention Center on August 2-4, 2016.

During his trip to Indonesia, Conde is also scheduled to visit several strategic industries and companies.
