REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SLEMAN -- Head of Center for Digital Forensic Studies (PUSFID) Islam Indonesia University (UII) Yudi Prayudi revealed most likely chat alleged between Habib Rizieq and Firza Husein was fabricated. He said there are various mobile applications that can be used to fabricate electronic conversations. "It could be created as if it really happened," he remarked on Tuesday.
Yudi argued there was discrepancy between language style or oddities in the dialogue. "But, the argumentation could not be proven forensically."
Competent people could analyzed the originality of the dialogue by checking mobile phone of one or both parties directly. Yudi remarked mobile phone data of one or both parties are very likely had been tapped, either through remote activities nor cloning the SIM card, especially if Habib Rizieq and Firza were not careful in storing their mobile phone.
Yudi said if Anonymous did the tapping then they probably have utilized a telecommunication security loophole known as SS7.

On the other hand, Yudi noticed Firza's mobile phone was already seized for the interest of another case investigation at around December 2016. Meanwhile, the steamy chat appeared in January 2017.
"Therefore, most observer would immediately drop conclusion that the perpetrator of steamy chat distribution must be one of the authorities who have access to Firza's mobile phone," Yudi said.
With this assumption, Yudi said the focus of the problem shifts from pornographic content to the disclosure of who is the perpetrator that spread it.
From the legal aspect, the perpetrators of the spread of pornographic content will be ensnared a number of articles on the Law No. 11/2008 ITE and its amendment to Law No. 19/2016. Meanwhile, the perpetrators of pornography can be caught in one of the articles of the Law of Pornography No. 44/2008.
"What is clear, the site as a source of spread of pornographic content through Whatsapp chat has been blocked by the Ministry," said Yudi.
