REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- General Elections Commission (KPU) will held matching and research (Coklit) on the list of potential voters (DP4) simultaneously in regions which hold 2018 regional elections. Coklit will begin on January 20 until February 18.
KPU chairman, Arief Budiman said the Coklit process will held in 381 regions. Seven commissioners and five provincial members also be involved on the activity.
"The five commissioners from provincial level will also join the Update Data Selection Officer (PPDP), so they also will meet the the voters at the houses," said Arief.
Arief said KPU has asked the municipal KPU to coordinate with the local figures and other parties who can become Coklit agents. They are assessed be able to spread the information about Coklit.
"The Coklit agents are the ones who will be able to roll the information about Coklit to the people around them," he added.
Further more, Arief said KPU has targeted one PPDP could register five houses. He assessed there will be 1,928,955 houses that are recorded simultaneously on January 20.
"So our minimum target must exceed the number of one million homes, if one house has at least four people, the target voters are four million voters," Arief explained.
