REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Indonesian Ulemas Council (MUI) chairman, Kiai Ma'ruf Amin advised Gerindra Party chief patron Prabowo Subianto to mention the names of state elites which he considered have deceived the public. He said if Prabowo only called the initials or kind of parables, it would be like throwing an unclear issue.

Kiai Ma'ruf assessed with such statement, people will only get a vague information. He asked Prabowo to not throw unfounded statements.

"Just point out the names, just point at their noses," said Maruf on Monday (April 2).

Kiai Ma'ruf said as a politician, Prabowo should be careful in making a statement. He assessed the statement that came from Prabowo recently should not just to create commotion. "What's the concept, where's the statement in order to be constructive," he remarked.

Earlier, Prabowo addressed his controversial statement that said if Indonesia would be end in 2030. In addition, he later mentioned some elites in Jakarta as fraud, stupid, and have thief mentality people.

His statement appeared in an oration, in front of thousands of cadres and sympathizers of the Gerinda Party. Prabowo also strongly rejected the neoliberal economic system.

"Since this party was formed, Gerindra has firmly rejected neoliberal economy system because it has increased the income gap in society," said Prabowo.

In addition, Prabowo also mentioned about foreign debt and natural wealth in Indoneisa. He said many natural wealths were actually take abroad. Therefore, he said there needs to be a turn of the economic system in favour of the people. He also mentioned again the elites that often harm the nation and state.

"What is an elite? Elite means the elements of leadership, the most educated leadership of the people. I recognize that since I was a part of the army elite because I was in the rank of general," said Prabowo.
