REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Indonesian Police's anti-terror squad has arrested three suspected terrorists. They were identified by their initials as AR alias Abu Arumi, AF, and MM in Bogor, West Java, on Friday (May 4).
"The operation against the terrorist network had been conducted in Bogor, West Java," Inspector General Setyo Wasisto, a spokesman of the Indonesian Police, stated here on Monday.
Wasisto remarked that the anti-terror squad Densus 88 had arrested the three suspects on Veteran III Street, Caringin Village, in Bogor District.
The suspects had allegedly planned a terror attack targeting the police mobile unit's headquarters in Kedunghalang, Bogor, and a traffic police post in Gadog. They had planned to attack the police with a machete.
"They also planned a suicide bomb attack in the Bogor District police station," Wasisto remarked.

The police have seized some evidence, including acetone, hydrogen peroxide for explosive material, triacetone triperoxide (TATP), LED light, mercury, plastic bottle, solder, wire, tin, sawdust, and screwdriver.
Citing analysis conducted by the police's forensic laboratory center and the bomb squad, Wasisto remarked that the material could be used to make a TATP bomb categorized as a high explosive bomb.
The three suspects have been detained at the police mobile brigade headquarters in Kelapa Dua, Depok of West Java.
