REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, PALU -- World Bank CEO Kristalina Georgieva said they was offering a five million dollar grant for post-reconstruction to areas affected by the earthquake and tsunami in Central Sulawesi. She expressed sorrow over the catastrophe.
"We are deeply touched by what has happened, and the Indonesian people are very strong and resilient. On behalf of the international community, I say your solidarity is very strong, so we really appreciate and respect the government and the community," Georgieva said while reviewing the Perumnas Balaroa Palu, Friday.
Georgieva conducted a joint review with Vice President M Jusuf Kalla and Secretary General of the United Nations (UN) Antonio Guterres to Balaroa to witness firsthand the impact of the liquidation that caused the region to be swallowed, and ultimately collapse into the ground.
