REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Hundreds of domestic and foreign tourists arrived on a number of islands in Kepulauan Seribu Regency, Jakarta Province, on Sunday (23/12/2024). The tourists come to enjoy various tours that exist in the beautiful archipelago north of mainland Jakarta.
“A total of 424 foreign and national tourists still continue to visit the Kepulauan Seribu area during the weekend holiday period,” said Sonti Pangaribuan, Head of the Department of Tourism and Creative Economy (Parekraf) of the Kepulauan Seribu, Sonti Pangaribuan in Jakarta, Sunday (22/12/2024).
He said that on Sunday, there were 373 tourists from domestic and 51 foreign tourists. They visit various excursions that exist on resident islands, resort islands, as well as other tourist islands.
Of the 424 tourists who departed from Ancol Marina Pier, 144 people from Muara Angke Pier were 82. Then from Tanjung Pasir Pier 155 people and from Cituis Pier 43 people.
Sonti said that the flood conditions that began to recede on some inhabited islands were a factor for tourists wanting to visit the Kepulauan Seribu region. “The number of tourist visits will continue to arrive ahead of Christmas 2024 and New Year 2025 holidays,” he said.
Earlier, on Saturday (21/12/2024) 1,123 tourists visited the area of the Thousand Islands who came from Ancol Marina Pier with 380 people and Muara Angke Pier with 530 people. Then from Tanjung Pasir Pier 136 people and from Cituis Pier 77 people.
