REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- President Prabowo Subianto insists that his government has no intention of complicating people's lives. “We mean our determination to work hard to serve the people of Indonesia. We never felt that there was a holiday because we felt that the Indonesian people should have leaders who work hard, who want to do their best,” he said during the 2024 National Christmas Celebration event at Indonesia Arena, Senayan, Central Jakarta, Saturday (29/12/2024) evening.
Prabowo claimed he wanted to create a clean government to help the people's difficulties. “I am determined to lead a clean government, a government that will safeguard the interests of the Indonesian people. There is not the slightest intention for us to complicate the life of the Indonesian people,” said the general chairman of the DPP Gerindra Party.
Therefore, Prabowo asked the people to be patient given that the government as of today has only been running for two months and eight days. Regardless, Prabowo assesses, so far the government's performance has been relatively good.
“Please be patient. Give us the opportunity to work really hard. However, I am very optimistic. I've seen the numbers all the real ones. It is extraordinary the gift given by the Almighty, given to all of us, is extraordinary,” Prabowo said.
On the same occasion, he was also confident in the abilities of the ministers and state officials who helped run the government. “I'm just being honest. I am proud of the team that helped me. In the beginning they were eager to work for Prabowo Subianto, he said the man was fierce. If it's not true, it's fierce,” Prabowo said.
.President Prabowo attended the 2024 National Christmas Celebration at Indonesia Arena, Gelora Bung Karno complex, Senayan, Central Jakarta, with Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka and a line of ministers of the Red and White Cabinet. Prabowo and an entourage of ministers and state officials present were all compact wearing dark brown batik shirts.
Attending were Army Chief General Agus Subiyanto, Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Attorney General St. Burhanuddin, as well as Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) General Maruli Simanjuntak, Chief of Naval Staff (KSAL) Admiral Muhammad Ali, and Air Force Chief of Staff (KSAU) Marshal Mohamad Tonny Harjono.
