REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, ASHGABAT -- Currently Turkmenistan is implementing a large scale project on the expansion and modernisation of the commodity and raw material base of the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries (TCOR), Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper reported.
'The construction of two steel tanks with a capacity of 10,000 cubic meters for storing diesel fuel, as well as 5000 cubic meters for storing gasoline is being completed at the main TCOR plant', the newspaper said.
The project is being implemented by the Turkmenneftegazstroy state concern and it is also planned to construct 12 tanks with equal capacity for storage of raw materials and finished products to a total capacity of 90,000 cubic meters, according to the newspaper.
Six of them are being built at an oil refinery in the city of Turkmenbashi, five at the Kenar tank farm for storage and shipment of petroleum products and one at the Seidi refinery.
Production volumes at the local refineries will increase significantly in connection with the completion of a number of new industrial large capacity projects in the near future.
'Only the commissioning of four installations for alkylating light olefins, gasoline blending, vacuum distillation of fuel oil and isomerisation of light gasoline will increase the annual production of high demand environmentally friendly high-octane gasoline by almost half a million tons', the newspaper said.
After completion of the construction, the new commodity and raw material base will be connected to computer systems for collection, processing and transmitting of data to the existing analytical centres for electronic accounting of oil and oil products in Turkmenistan in all TCOR production complexes.
