Painters hold an Arabic calligraphy exhibition

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG - Eight painters of Braga, Bandung, West Java hold Ramadan Calligraphy Exhibition 2013 at Ropih Art House at Braga Bandung Street. They are Samsulloh, Iyan Irawan, Achmad Saeri, Jo Soheyr, De Kriss, Ramdhan, Asep Saepuloh and Tata Sutaryat.

"This exhibition opens until August 17. There are 19 Arabic calligraphies and the eight painters are painters in Braga," Sutaryat said on Friday.

Sutaryat admitted it was difficult to make Arabic calligraphy since they usually paint. the difficulty lies on the value of calligraphy as an interpretation of Quran content and must be write it correctly.
