REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA --The Deputy Chairman of the Assembly, Hidayat Nur Wahid, said the criminalization over the cleric, especially to Habib M Rizieq Shihab by using fake porn videos on Youtube might blow the Indonesian Muslim's anger. It would be an insult to the status of clerics. 

In the other hand, it would made the public to be more permissive, did not bother the clergy and religiousity. "The point is, I completely rejected the criminalization of ulema, especially the public figures, especially with the issue of pornography. It was a huge door for the rise of atheism and communism," said Hidayat when contacted by Republika.co.id on Monday. 

Such slander would also impact the anger the people who might be promoting radicalism. Letting such a slander would also be an evidence that the government was not serious in eradicating hoaxes. "The government should be the example of the seriousness in eradicating hoaxes, eg vulgar criminalization against Habib Rizieq Shihab. It was a basic feature of a state of law," said Hidayat.

Previously, a video containing intimate chatting  between allegedly Habib Rizieq and a woman named Firza Hussein was spread. However, the video was immediately denied by the Islamic Defenders Front. The organization also planned file a police report against the video uploader.
