REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, LONDON - Chef de Mission of Indonesian contingent in London Olympics 2012, Erick Thohir, are ready to step down if Indonesia fails to win gold medal.

"I ask them to focus, maintain their condition, and give the best. If they fail, I will take responsibility," Thohir said in Indonesian Embassy in London.

Thohir hopes badminton athletes can contribute on winning the gold medal. There are nine badminton athletes from Indonesia in London Olympics, namenly Taufik Hidayat, Simon Santoso, Adriyanti Firdasari, Mohammad Ahsan/Bona Septano, Greysia Polii/Meiliana Jauhari, and Tontowi Ahmad/Liliyana Natsir.
