REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Indonesian taxi operator, PT Express Trasindo Utama (Express Group), signs a deal with its overseas counterpart, Sunlight Unicablink, the biggest taxi operator in Malaysia to ease cross-border bookings. The agreement results a smartphone application named Unicablink, which is enable people to book a taxi prior to their arrival in  countries.

"This application ease taxi passengers in Indonesia and Malaysia to book a taxi using mobile booking," President Director of Express Group, Daniel Podiman, said in the press release on Saturday.

Unicablink provides easy access for both Malaysian and Indonesian passengers to make a booking by using single application. This application will be available for Android, Blackberry, iOS and Window-based phone users.

Podiman said this partnership was a major breakthrough in the taxi industry. He was enthusiastic to cooperate with one of the largest taxi operators in Malaysia.
