Indonesia gives a phenomenal welcome to Liverpool in Jakarta

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - After friendly match with Arsenal last week, Indonesia will face another English club, Liverpool FC The match will be held this Saturday at 08.00 PM.

The Reds will hold a preseason tour to the three countries known as fanatical Liverpool supporter bases namely Indonesia, Thailand, and Australia. The Liverpool players landed at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport in Jakarta on Wednesday. 

Hundreds of supporters came together to see their favourite club. They continued to sing chant to welcome The Reds.

Liverpool brings its main squad to Indonesia, except Luis Suarez (striker), Pepe Reina (goalkeeper) and Sebastian Coates (defender). Director of Liverpool, Ian Ayre said all personnel who are members of the club already and can not wait for the time comes.

"I know very well about Liverpool supporters in Indonesia, Thailand and Australia. I have lived and worked in the region for several years. It's a fantastic place. With tremendous greeting from supporters in Indonesia, i'm sure it's going to be phenomenal," Ayre said.
