REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Minister of Finance, Chatib Basri said budget deficit in 2014 was estimated about 154 trillion IDR or 1.49 percent of gross domestic products (GDP). The figure is based on calculations of state revenues at 1,700 trillion IDR and with expenditures are estimated at 1,800 trillion IDR.
"Determination of macro assumption on state budget 2014 will be decided using the benchmark determined in last month meeting between House of Representative and government," Basri said on Tuesday.
In macro assumption on state budget 2014, economic growth is estimated between 6.4 to 6.9 percent, inflation between 3.5 to 5.5 percent, exchange rate at 9,600 to 9,800 IDR per USD and interest rate at 4.5 to 5.5 percent. While the price of Indonesian Crude Price (ICP) is assumed at 100 to 115 USD per barrel, oil lifting at 860 thousand to 900 thousand barrels per day (BPD), gas lifting at 1.24 to 1.25 million BPD of oil or 2.1 to 2.15 million BPD of gas.
Basri guaranteed that government would increase capital expenditure in state budget 2014.
Government also allocated energy subsidies after in earlier allocation was below of revised state budget 2013. Government had also allocated fiscal space worth 18,4 trillion for infrastructure spending, as well as funding for National Social Security System (SJSN) in several sectors, such as health, energy conservation and public transportation.
