Citilink ready to fly from Halim airport, on Jan 10

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Low cost carrier, Citilink Indonesia is ready to serve flights from Halim Perdanakusumah airport starts on Friday this week. President Director of Citilink, Arif Wibowo said that all equipment and facilities had been ready.

"We are ready to fly on January 10," Wibowo said on Wednesday.

Citilink will serve nine flights every day from Halim airport. Two aircrafts have been prepared to serve passengers in round trip of Jakarta-Malang, Jakarta-Yogyakarta, Jakarta-Semarang and Jakarta-Palembang.

The subsidiary carrier of Garuda Indonesia is one of airlines operating at Halim Perdanakusumah while Garuda Indonesia will start in February and AirAsia in March 2014. Government decided to use Halim Perdanakusumah for commercial flights to reduce overcrowding at Soekarno - Hatta airport.
