REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG -- The Japanese Government is keen to invest in a seaport construction project in West Java province, Japanese Ambassador to Indonesia Yasuaki Tanizaki stated after meeting Vice Governor of West Java Deddy Mizwar here on Wednesday.
"The investment for the construction of roads, power plant, and seaport will be realized shortly," the ambassador noted.
According to him, Japan has selected West Java for its investment due to the province's strategic location.
"We are very thankful to the administration of West Java for welcoming the Japanese businesspersons to invest in the province," Tanizaki remarked.
Japan has invested in West Java, and in 2014, the value of its investment reached US$2.7 billion.
In the meantime, the vice governor of West Java welcomed the Japanese government and companies to invest in the province, especially in the construction of a seaport.
"We are welcoming the private sectors to develop the Cilamaya Seaport according to the ministerial decision," Deddy stated.
He added that every investor should be heedful to the regulations, especially regarding spatial management.
