REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BALIKPAPAN – The Coordinating Minister of Economy, Hatta Rajasa, said Indonesian would be healthy until the end of the year. Nothing to worried, he said, despite agency Standard and Poor’s (S&P) had not yet awarded investment grade status to the country.

“It is only their estimation. Our development will improve although subsidized fuel price is not increased,” he said on Sunday.

On the other hand, government will control and restrict subsidized fuel. The restriction predictably will not bother the fiscal in state budget. “Our state budget will be healthy and maintained,” he added.

Rajasa was optimistic that Indonesia would soon be granted the investment grade id the economy was stable. The spokesman of Bank Indonesia (BI), Difi Ahmad Johansyah, said, “They still re-assess our economy.”

Earlier Bloomberg cited, S&P warned Indonesian credit rating would not change if government subsidized expenditure change fiscal condition, aggravate expenditure quality, and suspend the growth of foreign direct investment. On contrary, Fitch and Moody’s have given investment grade status to Indonesia.
