REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SUKABUMI – During fasting month this year, work hour for civil servant in Sukabumi is shortened for the regular schedule to seven hours only. Local government argued, the shortened work hour would provide more time for civil servant to engage in religious activities.

"The shortening of work hour is based on the valid regulation," the Mayor of Sukabumi, Mokh Muslikh Abdussyukur, said on Thursday. With the shortened work hour, the civil servants will work from 08.00 am to 03.00 pm.

He said the shortening would not decrease their service quality because the employees would work as usual. Even, he said this fasting month could be a momentum to increase their performance.
