REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG - West Java is ambitious to become a host of Asian Games 2018 after the province hostes 2016 National Games (PON). The Deputy Governor of West Java Dede Yusuf plans to propose West Java as the host of the prestigious sport event.

"West Java is potential to be the host of Asian Games 2018. We are ready to take some required steps," Yusuf said optimistically.

He also said that infrastructure for PON can be used for Asian Games. West Java will also build international sport facilities so that it can be used for PON and Asian Games 2018. "One of them is to build swimming pools with international standard," he said.
