REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Indonesian Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will probe the former minister of finance Sri Mulyani, over her role in Bank Century bailout process worth 6.7 trillion IDR. Currently Mulyani sits as the managing director of World Bank.
In an earlier investigation, Mulyani provided information about her role as the Head of Financial System Stability Committee (KSSK) in the bailout process of Bank Century. She also mentioned the detail of several KSSK meetings in 2008.
Chairman of KPK, Abraham Samad, admitted the probe plan towards Mulyani. Samad did not elaborate the timetable, but he implied that the probe would be carried out this week in the United States.
