REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Minister of State Owned Enterprises, Dahlan Iskan plans to participate in Democratic Party convention.
"I cannot dodge questions about the convention so I have to say something," Iskan said on Thursday.
Iskan explained that he had sent a letter to Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono as the patron leader of the party. Until Wednesday night, committee of the convention had received 18 names to participate in the convention, which aims to pick candidate for Indonesian presidential election in 2014.
Other participants are Gita Wirjawan (Minister of Trade), Dino Patti Djalal (Indonesian Ambassador to US), Boediono (Vice President), Jusuf Kalla (former Vice President), Sinyo Harry Sarundajang (Governor of North Sulawesi), Isran Noor (Regent of East Kutai) and Marzuki Alie (House of Representatives Speaker).
