REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono sets April 9, 2014 as national holiday. Tomorrow, all Indonesian citizens who qualify as voters are asked to come to polling stations to exercise their voting rights in legislative election. It is determined by Presidential Decree No. 14/2014.
"April 9, 2014 is set as national holiday for voting and election day by General Election Commission," it was written in the Presidential Decree as reported by Ira Sasmita.
Voters will choose legislative candidates who will sit at House of Representative (DPR), Regional Representative Council (DPRD) in provincial, regency and city, as well as Regional Representative Council (DPD). Voters in Jakarta province which consists of three electoral districts will only choose DPR, DPRD and DPD.
Voters in Lampung will choose five ballots. They also have local election or candidate for governor.
