REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- President Joko Widodo, here on Tuesday, revealed his plan to announce his cabinet at the earliest.
"As quickly as possible," he stated when asked about the issue after receiving Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea Peter O'Neill.
President Joko Widodo, popularly called Jokowi, did not reveal the exact date for the announcement.
Following his inauguration as president on Monday, Jokowi was also scheduled to receive Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Valentinovich Manturov.
Last Friday, former chairman of the Jokowi-JK transition team Rini Mariani Soemarno handed over the names of the prospective ministerial candidates to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) for scrutiny with regard to their track records.
After evaluation, the KPK then submitted the list bearing red and yellow signs indicating those carrying risks to President Jokowi on Sunday.
"We did not say that they passed or did not pass, but we only gave inputs as requested. We gave a red sign to those with a high risk and yellow with lesser risk," KPK Deputy Chairman Zulkarnain remarked on Monday.
He explained that the red sign meant that the person marked with that color could be a "potential suspect."
