REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Vice President Jusuf Kalla denied rumors of having health issues due to which he could not attend the people's party held at the National Monument square on Monday night (Oct. 20).
The party itself was attended by President Joko Widodo, or popularly known as Jokowi, and had the participation of several musicians, activists, and thousands of Jakartans.
"You can all see that I am healthy," Jusuf Kalla remarked after meeting several representatives from foreign countries at the Vice Presidential Palace here on Tuesday (21/10).
The vice president cited fatigue as the reason for not attending the people's party. Kalla explained that he was exhausted after participating in the public march on Monday (Oct. 20), soon after he and President Jokowi were inaugurated at the parliament building.
"Indeed, the march using the horse chariot yesterday was very tiring," Kalla noted.
When asked about the cabinet ministers, the vice president admitted that he had met President Jokowi to discuss about the new cabinet. Jusuf Kalla stated that the names of the cabinet ministers could be announced either today or tomorrow.
