REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, TOMOHON -- Mount Lokon in Tomohon district, North Sulawesi, erupted on Wednesday, spewing volcanic substances in the northwest direction.
"This is the second time the volcano erupted since last September," Nelly, a resident of Kinilow, North Tohomon sub-district, said.
According to Ferry, an officer at the Mount Lokon and Mahawu Observation Post, the volcano erupted at 3:20 p. m. local time (GMT+8).
A plume of smoke could be seen reaching heights of 1,500 meters, Ferry added.
