REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Chairman of the Selection Committee Team (Pansel) of Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Destry Damayanti said 10 women have been officially registered as leadership candidates of KPK. They came from the activists, private employees, advocates (lawyers), auditors and academics.
"Until now there are 10 women who send the registration file to us. The complete data are not recapitulated further, but there are activists and private employees among 10 registrants," said Destry when contacted by ROL, on Friday, June 19.
In addition, there were also female registrants from lawyers, auditors and academics. The female registrants came from several cities in Java and outside Java.
"Compared to male applicants, the amount is still far less. But according to the area of origin and educational backgrounds are quite proportionate, "said Destry.
Until Friday, the number of registrants of KPK's leaders candidates have reached 167 people. Among lawyers, civil servants and lecturers were still dominating the overall registrants. KPK's leaders candidates registration open until Wednesday, June 24, next week. On June 27, the names of registrants who passed the selection will be announced to the public administration.
