REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Finance Minister Bambang Brodjonegoro reported the outcomes of the meeting of finance ministers and central bank governors of G-20 member countries in Turkey to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) at the Merdeka Palace on Tuesday.

"I have just returned from the G-20 finance ministers' and central bank governors' meeting in Turkey and have reported the outcomes to the president," Brodjonegoro stated after meeting President Jokowi.

The minister remarked that the G-20 meeting, in essence, discussed the global crisis that does not offer a bright prospect.

"During the G-20 meeting, it was said that 2015 was a tough year and did not offer a good prospect. We also discussed about the improving US data the can have an impact on other countries, including pressure on the rupiah and other currencies," he emphasized.

The finance minister revealed that during the meeting with the president, he also shed light on the developments regarding the discussion on the 2016 draft budget, which is still in its nascent stages.

He added that the meeting also touched on the plan to announce an economic policy package in light of the current economy.
