REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- President Joko Widodo recently asked Minister of Youth and Sports Imam Nahrawi to study suspension of Indonesian Football Association (PSSI). President did not instruct to revoke PSSI suspension, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung said.
"Minister of Youth and Sports asked to see, evaluate, consider if this is the right time or not (to revoke suspension),'' said Pramono on Thursday (25/2).
Therefore, Pramono continued, the decision depends on the result Minister Youth and Sports study.
Pramono said there are several aspects behind the President instruction to study PSSI suspension. According to Pramono, President did not want Indonesia professional soccer problem be protracted. President hopes there is a way out so the national team can compete in international competition.
