REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – The Chairman for Foreign Affairs in the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI), Muhyidin Junaidi, said the invitation by the President of Israel, Reuven Rivlin, is an effort to provoke the Muslims fellow.  "The visit created a pro-contra among the leaders of Islamic organizations. It potentially brings conflicts to the Muslims in Indonesia," he told Republika.co.id, Friday.

He argued that the visit violated the code of conduct of the international diplomacy. It injured the feelings of the Indonesian and also undermined the efforts of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) to apply two states policy or policy of the two countries.

Muhyiddin recognized that Israel and Jewish partners intensified their lobby massively in various ways from subtle to reckless. Meanwhile, the international world, through 17 foreign ministers meeting in France, clearly agreed and encouraged two states policy to be carried out.
