REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Young Generation Coordinator of Golkar Party (GMPG) Ahmad Doli Kurnia has seen the photo of suspect in graft case of e-ID procurement project, Setya Novanto (Setnov) who was lying weak in the hospital.
The photo has widely spread and many people reacted in sceptical way, questioned Novanto's health condition because of several oddity in the picture.
According to Doli, the viral photo of Setnov being hospitalized was deliberately published by Novanto's aide. It aimed to gain people's sympathy.
"The picture was published to tell people that he (Setnov) is really sick," Doli explained in a short message to Republika.co.id, Thursday.
This was a brave action taken by Setnov to change public perception, Doli added.
Unfortunately, he said, in the picture, people saw the medical devices around him seemed not to work properly. "It can be a back fire for him," he said.
The picture showed that Setnov could not take his responsibility any longer as speaker of the House, Doli said. Then the Chairman of Golkar was asked to step down from the House. "Don't use a childish way, spreading the picture to public," he added.
