REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Malaysian Minister of Rural and Regional Development, Dato' Sri Ismail Sabri Yaakob visited Sukamanah village, Megamendung, Bogor, West Java on Thursday (Jan. 4). During his visit, he said really impress with the village governance in Indonesia.
"I am really impressed with the governance of the village that conducted by Indonesia Government, which the village is given the power to be independent in terms of building the village infrastructure and so forth," said Dato' Sri Ismail in a press release on Friday (Jan. 5).
Dato' Sri Ismail assessed, villages in Indonesia have became the best one in the world. He has visited many village in another countries and said never experience yet found as better as in Indoenesia.
"Sukamanah village is the first village which I visited in Indonesia and I hope there will be cooperation such as the excellent products in this village can be exported to Malaysia and vice versa," Dato' Sri Ismail added.
Dato' Sri Ismail visit to Sukamanah village was accompanied by the Director General for Development and Community Development of the Village (PPMD) Taufik Madjid and the Director General for the Development of Disadvantaged Regions (PDT) of the Ministry of Development of Disadvantaged Areas and Transmigration (Kemendes PDTT) Samsul Widodo. The ministry with Kemendes PDTT would also follow up in the form of bilateral cooperation related to infrastructure, economy and rural education.
