REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- One of three submarines ordered by the Indonesian Military, made by Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME), will be shipped from South Korea next week. Indonesian Defense Minister Ryamizard Ryacudu will witness the delivery ceremony of the submarine at the shipyard of DSME, South Gyeongsang, South Korea.

"This is the second submarine to be delivered on April 25," South Korean Ambassador to Indonesia, Kim Chang-beom, stated here on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the first submarine, named KRI Nagapasa-403, arrived in Indonesia in August 2017 and another submarine is being assembled in PT PAL Indonesia, Surabaya.

Ryacudu hoped that the inclusion of KRI Nagapasa-403 submarine in the ranks of the navy will be able to support the regional security and stability and realize Indonesia as the world's maritime axis.
