REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and Vice President Jusuf Kalla visited ailing former president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono at the Gatot Subroto Army Hospital, Jakarta, on Thursday. Presidential Secretariat Deputy Protocol, Press, and Media Bey Machmudin remarked that Jokowi and Kalla arrived at the hospital in separate cars at 9:45 a.m. Western Indonesia Standard Time.
The president and vice president had attended the Prasetya Perwira inauguration ceremony of Military and Police cadets to become officers at the Merdeka Palace.
Sixth President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has been in the Gatot Subroto Hospital since July 17, 2018, after returning from a visit to Pacitan and Yogyakarta.
Earlier, Democratic Party executive Ferdinand Hutahaean denied the rumour that said SBY’s health condition was affected by political burden. In fact, he said Democratic Party general chairman is in happy condition because his party succeeded in registering its candidates.
