REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, GARUT -- Cikembulan Animal Park in Garut District, West Java Province, has gained popularity among domestic and foreign tourists. The number of tourist arrivals increased during the long weekend and Eid-Al Fitr' holidays.
Early in May, during Labor Day holiday, Cikembulan Animal Park also crowded by tourists from various regions, including the foreign tourists.The park is often visited by foreign tourists, such as from India, Australia, Holland, and some European countries.
Manager of Cikembulan Animal Park, Rudy Arifin, said the entry fee for domestic and foreign tourists who visit the Cikembulan Animal Park is the same, which is Rp20 thousand per person. He remarked that Cikembulan Animal Park in Kadungora District, West Java, has its own advantages and attractiveness due to the beautiful place and a bunch of animal collection.
Most tourists want to see animals in the park, such as lions, tigers, and various types of birds from 450 species of birds.
"In addition to searching for big cats (tigers) and lions, those who come here want to enjoy a clean atmosphere," he stated.
Arifin added that Cikembulan Animal Park has become a leading tourist attraction in Garut District, besides other tourist destinations, such as lakes and hot spring baths in Garut.
"I think Cikembulan has become an icon of Garut, because of the people's enthusiasm to visit this park," he pointed out.
