REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning (ATR) /Head of BPN, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) admitted that he did not chat with Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko despite having shaken hands together while attending the Plenary Cabinet Meeting at Istana Negara, Central Jakarta, Senih (26/2/2024). According to him, the most important thing is to shake hands and connect silaturahim.
“Oh, no talking. The important thing is greetings, to connect contacts,” AHY said at the Presidential Palace Complex, Central Jakarta, Monday (26/2/2024).
AHY also admitted that it was normal to shake hands with Moeldoko before the Full Cabinet Session. In addition, AHY also admitted that it does not plan to hold four-eye talks with Moeldoko. “Nothing, nothing. We have no plans to go there yet,” said the son of the 6th President of RI Susilo Bambang Yudhyono.
Nevertheless, AHY claimed to be ready to coordinate with the President's Chief of Staff (KSP) Moeldoko in the government. He said he wasn't going to exaggerate the problems that had already happened.
According to the general chairman of the DPP of the Democratic Party, the various issues that have passed are part of the political journey as well as the Democrats. “I don't want to exaggerate what has passed. Because that means we're not moving forward. Clearly we've all passed a part of the political journey of the Democratic Party as well,” AHY said.
He admitted, it would make that valuable experience to go forward. Furthermore, AHY said it would focus on working in government and also coordinate with cabinet ministers.
He assessed that various jobs to be completed by the Ministry of ATR/Head of BPN should be worked together with other ministers. Such as ensuring legal certainty over land for investments to run smoothly.
“Including how we want to convince investment, we heard several times from the Minister of Economy, from the Minister of Economy, from the Minister of Bappenas that the strength of the national economic growth in the future as expected and emphasized by President Jokowi is how we can accelerate investment,” AHY explained.
