REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Golkar Party held a bihalal event at Golkar Party DPP Office, Slipi, West Jakarta, Monday (15/4/2024) evening. One of those present was the Executor (Plt) of the General Chairman of the DPP of the United Development Party (PPP), Muhammad Mardiono.

PPP is one of the supporting political parties of Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD. The presence of the leadership of the party emblazoned with the Kaaba is certainly quite surprising. Because, the Ganjar-Mahfud couple is still suing the results of the 2024 presidential election in the Constitutional Court (MK).

Golkar Party DPP Chairman Airlangga Hartarto also explained that Mardiono's presence was in the framework of his partners who were once part of the United Indonesia Coalition (KIB). KIB was a coalition of Golkar, PPP, and PAN before they split in the 2024 presidential election contest.

“I am happy to be in contact with all Mothers who are also partners in the Indonesia Forward Coalition. In addition, there are early partners of Coalition Indonesia Bersatu, this is why Mr. Mardiono is present,” Airlangga said in the office of DPP Golkar, Monday evening WIB.

If the PPP supports Ganjar-Mahfud then Golkar and PAN carry the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka pairing. Airlangga also implies that PPP will be in coalition with the winning party.

“Since we have been together for two years, only in the end we parted a little, but after February 14 we all promise to rejoin,” Airlangga said.

Halal bihalal of Golkar Party was attended by political party KIM. Only the PPP which is a party outside the coalition appeared to be present at the event. Mardiono answered lightly the reason for being present at the banyan party event. “If invited, you have to attend. Halal is the time when we forgive each other,” Mardiono said.
