REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MAGELANG -- Hundreds of people gathered in front of the Military Academy (Akmil) Magelang, Central Java, Sunday (27/10/2024) morning. Their arrival in front of the military compound was nothing but to see the return of President Prabowo Subianto and his cabinet ranks after a retreat at the site.
Based on the observation of the Republika, the people present consisted of different ages. In fact, there were schoolchildren who gathered wearing sports uniforms and carrying red and white flags waiting for the president and his ranks to exit the Akmil Magelang compound.
One of the residents, Akmal (35), claimed to have just come to the site. He purposely came to see Prabowo and the ranks of the Red and White Cabinet after being mobbed at Akmil Magelang.
“You want to see the new president, look directly. So own initiative to come here,” he said in front of the Akmil Magelang compound.
He also considered the embezzlement activities in Akmil Magelang very good to equalize the vision of the ministers. The ministers in the Red and White Cabinet come from different backgrounds.
“So let the vision be the same, let it all be one,” Akmal said. He also believes Prabowo will be able to take Indonesia further.
Another resident, Heru, 45, also admitted that he came to Akmil Magelang on his own initiative. He deliberately wanted to witness first-hand the authority of President Prabowo after galvanizing his ministers. “I hope President Prabowo can be better than he was before,” he said.
Heru judged that the activity of the ministers in the Tidar Valley was something positive. According to him, it can mentally train presidential aides to be like soldiers.
It is known that the members of the Red and White Cabinet began to stay at Akmil Magelang since Thursday (24/10/2024). However, only on Friday (25/10/2024), the Red and White Cabinet retreat was officially opened by Prabowo.
During the stay at Akmil Magelang, the ministers, deputy ministers, agency heads, special envoys, special advisers, and special staff of the president, must stay overnight inside the tent. The president's aides were also taught discipline, having to always get up early, exercise, line marching training, and eat together.
In addition to receiving training on discipline, the members of the Red White Cabinet also receive various materials related to governance, corruption prevention, downstream, food estate, nutritious eating, and strategic review.
The president and his aides are scheduled to leave Akmil Magelang on Sunday morning. Because, the entire agenda in the Red and White Cabinet retreat activities has been completed on this day
