REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Padjadjaran University political observer Yusa Djuyandi said that the political move of RI presidential candidate and vice president Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar will be the same as his leading party in the election 2024 Press.

“I think Anies-Muhaimin's political move will be like his founding party. It may be that the National Awakening Party (PKB), NasDem, and the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) have a chance to dock into the government,” Yusa said when contacted by Antara from Jakarta on Thursday.

In fact, according to Yusa, Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian Parliament, who is known as Cak Imin, has a chance to enter the cabinet of the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka government. “Muhaimin can be in the cabinet,” he said.

PKB General Chairman Muhaimin Iskandar expressed his party's desire to cooperate with presidential candidate and RI vice president-elect Prabowo-Gibran. Muhaimin explained that the desire was conveyed by him to Prabowo in order to realize future development agendas, the end of which is the progress of the nation and the prosperity of the people.

“The PKB and Gerindra as parties that have been working together in parliament and in the executive want to continue to cooperate more productively, especially Mr. Prabowo as president-elect will face various such challenging development agendas in the future,” Muhaimin said during a press meeting with Prabowo at the PKB DPP Office, Jakarta, Wednesday (24/4).

Meanwhile, NasDem Party General Chairman Surya Paloh committed to helping the Prabowo-Gibran government by entering into a grand coalition.

“The opportunity, the drive, the desire, the spirit invites, to be together with the government I think is better. That is my choice, NasDem's choice,” Surya Paloh said during a meeting with Prabowo at Kertanegara IV, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, on Thursday.

As for DPP PKS Secretary General Aboe Bakar Al-Habsyi said that the planned meeting with Indonesian President-elect Prabowo is still waiting for the right time.

“Wait for the time, obviously we are creating contacts for all parties, anyone who starts please,” Aboe said when he met after a meeting of the MCC with the NasDem Party DPP at the NasDem Party DPP Office in Jakarta, Wednesday (24/4).

So far Anies has not stated his position, would he be willing to enter the cabinet if offered a ministerial position by Prabowo? Or instead remain out of government as opposition.

The General Election Commission (KPU) of RI designated Prabowo-Gibran as the Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidate Spouse elected in the 2024 Presidential and Vice Presidential Elections in accordance with Commission Decision No. 504 of 2024.

“Deciding, uniting, designating, the pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates elected in the 2024 General Election will designate the 2nd presidential and vice presidential candidate pair Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka as the pair of presidential and vice presidential candidates elected for the period 2024—2029 in the General Election of 2024,” Hashim said at the KPU RI office, Jakarta, Wednesday (24/4).

Hashim explained that Prabowo-Gibran managed to win 96,214,691 votes or 58.59 percent of the total valid national votes and met at least 20 percent of the votes in every province spread across 38 provinces in Indonesia. As for this decision, it entered into force since it was set on Wednesday, April 24, 2024.
