REPUBLIKA .CO.ID, JAKARTA -- DPP General Chairman of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar hopes that the United Development Party (PPP) can win the disputed 2024 election lawsuit in the Constitutional Court (MK). So that the Ka'bah party can pass into parliament.
In the 2024 general election, the PPP did not meet the parliamentary threshold of 4 percent. Based on the decision of KPU RI, it announced only 3.87 percent of the vote. On that basis, PPP filed a lawsuit with the Court, and the first hearing took place on Monday (29/4/2024).
“The PKB hopes that PPP escapes in its fight in MK. So that the PPP's right to sit with its hard work results can be saved,” said Cak Imin, greeting his relatives, along with the Duty Executor (Plt) of the PPP General Chairman Muhamad Mardiono during a press conference at the PKB DPP Office, Central Jakarta, Monday (29/4/2024).
Cak Imin said that the PKB is ready to shoulder with PPP in running the political wheel in Indonesia. Including the one the PPP is currently fighting for in the MK, Cak Imin admitted, giving it full support. “Of course whatever the PPP asks us to prepare especially the main one is definitely prayer and certainly implore the wisdom of the judge,” he said.
The Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Indonesia for the period 2019-2024 continued, hoping that PPP will win in the dispute of the 2024 general election in the Grand Court because the candidates elected in the 2024 general election will not be in vain. On that occasion, she exemplified Ermalena, who also attended, was the PPP candidate who won the most votes in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).
“We know it's a new hearing from today. God willing we fully support PPP,” Cak Imin said.
On the same occasion, Acting Chairman General of PPP M Mardiono expressed his delight at the support of the CLA in order to win in MK so as to enter parliament. He stressed the great hope to keep his seat in Senayan by reaching PT's numbers.
“There is a lot of information that we discuss, how Indonesia also faces many things about the dynamics of the international political world that are indeed inseparable from what we are going to run. In the future, of course, we have to resolve, because that's why the parliament has to try,” Mardiono said.
He very much welcomed the support of the CLA and hoped that the CLA and the whole community would extend prayers for PPP's victory in MK. “We PPP ask for the support and prayers of course from the leaders of the PKB, especially ketum and all its ranks, to be able to support praying that the PPP can pass the parliamentary threshold, where today has started its first session,” Mardiono explained.
