REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Indonesian Government condemned the bomb attack on its embassy in the capital city of Yemen, Sana'a, which injured several staffers and seriously damaged the building on Monday morning.

"We condemn the bomb attack, launched at 10.45 am local time," Foreign Minister Retno L.P. Marsudi said on the sideline of the ministerial meeting of the commemorative Asian African Conference here.

An official who spoke on condition of anonymity told Antara previously that the bomb attack on the Indonesian Embassy in Yemen had caused two staffers to sustain minor injuries.

"The bomb also prompted several others to flee to the residence of the Indonesian ambassador in Sana'a," he said.

The bomb destroyed nearly 90 percent of the embassy building, he said.

The bomb blast occurred as the Indonesian government was trying to evacuate its citizens from the war-torn country.
