REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, LONDON -- Founder of the non-profit organization "The Cure for Tomorrow" Alanda Kariza has been invited to participate in the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2016 being held in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland, on January 20-23, 2016.

"I have been appointed as part of the Global Shapers Community representing Indonesia in WEF's Annual Meeting 2016," she informed Antara's London correspondent on Wednesday.

Kariza is one of the 50 youths from 38 countries to join the Global Shapers Community at the WEF meeting.

Kariza, along with Australian artist Lynette Wallworth, are scheduled to deliver a speech on culture and the Fourth Industrial Revolution in one of WEF's meeting sessions on January 21.

At the WEF Annual Meeting, Global Shapers engage in an array of activities and interact with important leaders across different stakeholder communities, thus echoing the voice of the youth to shape the agenda across national, regional, and global issues.

The 25-year-old young lady had represented Indonesia in the Global Changemakers at the G-20 London Summit in 2009.

Kariza initiated the establishment of the Indonesian Youth Conference (IYC), one of Indonesia's biggest independently organized youth events, which has been held annually since 2010 and has involved over 275 thousand Indonesian youths from all 34 provinces of the country.

The granddaughter of Prof. Moenadjat Wiratmadja, Indonesia's pioneer in plastic surgery, has published eight books and has spoken at length in high-level engagements on youth empowerment, including the International Labour Conference, One Young World, and Pontifical Council for Culture's Plenary Assembly.
