KBRI advises Indonesian nationals to avoid London Bridge

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Indonesian Embassy (KBRI) to London appealed Indonesian nationals in England to avoid a number of area near the area of terror attack in London Bridge, Borough Market and Vauxhall. 

“Metropolitan Police was handling the incident and asking people to avoid the areas,” said an announcement in KBRI London websites on Sunday (June 4). 

The embassy continuously monitored the situation and coordinated with the securities in London. It also asked Indonesian nationals to keep alert in doing their activities. 

A hotline was provided for Indonesian nationals who became victims or having problems related to the incidents. The number was +44 7881221235.

Previously, Reuters reported a number of witnesses said a van hit some walkers in London Bridge on Saturday. Another witness said people injured on the incident. In the same time, police paralyzed some attackers who used knives to hurt a number of people in bars and restaurants in Borough Market. 

British Police said incidents in London Bridge and Borough Market were just a kilometer away. It was stated as a terrorist attack. But, a stabbing in Vauxhall was not correlated to it.
