REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MAKASSAR -- Minister of Social, Khofifah Indar Parawansa, stated that acts of terrorism can not be associated with any religion in the world. During this time, there has been stigmatized that terrorism is related to a particular religion.
"I don't agree that religion is associated with terrorism," said Khofifah in Makassar, Monday (28/9).
It was said when Khofifah became a speaker in the 'Training of Trainers' entitled '"Early Warning of Understanding Radical Terrorism for Women and Youth' at the Islamic University Makassar.
According to her, the role of religious leaders is important. For example, religious leaders of Islam have contribution make people understand about death Sahid, so that it can be understood well in accordance to Islamic law.
"That's where the role of religious leaders is important in developing ideas and ways of thinking of people in understand the real meaning of religion," she explained.
Khofifah continued, there must be communication from the religious leaders in order to build social harmony. Good communication will create mutual respect and mutual trust.
