REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The number is countless. There are so many people who are willing to ease participants of 212 rally. They acted alone nor in groups.

Volunteers in many places prepared to help activities ahead, during, and after the 212 rally. Fifi Lifriantini ws one of them. She's a doctor. She posted an initiative to buy prayer mat on her Facebook account on Sunday (11/27) night.

According to Fifi, the idea was spontaneous. It crossed her mind, what if among thousand of people, some of them might forgot to bring prayer mat. "Afterall, the 212 rally is an action to place prayer mat," she said to Republika.co.id on Wednesday.

Fifi wrote her intention to provide 10 to 20 prayer mats for participants of 212 rally. She asked her friends to join the initiative. She did not expect the respons will be tremendous. 

In quite a while, Fifi's Facebok inbox flooded with messages from volunteers. They wanted to donate. "Within a day, we have collected Rp 33 million," she said.

At first, Fifi wanted to close the fund-rising at Tuesday night. But, people keep asking her to continue the fund-rising. Finally, on Wednesday morning, she closed it with total amount nearly Rp 39 million. "Alhamdulillah, in a materialistic world, people are still racing to donate," she praised.

As a form of accountability, Fifi published the donors list to her Facebook account. She then deleted the post as it was urged by the donors. "They want to keep it anonymously," she remarked.  

Fifi tried to buy prayer mat with reasonable price. She got it first each with Rp 40.000. "I only bought 15 pieces."

The seller then realized the prayer mat will be used by participants of 212 rally. She was so touched to hear the seller wish. The seller wanted to participate by giving discount, Rp 5,000 for each prayer mat. 

Fifi continued her search of prayer mat. A friend offered her prayer mat with price Rp 25.000. "Totally, we have 1.600 prayer mats to be given to the participants of 212 rally," she said. 

Realizing there were so many mats to be brought to the National Monument area, Fifi was puzzled. She was confused about the transportation and need help to distribute the mats. But, it only lasted for a while.

"I was overwhelmed. Masya Allah (My God)...Help is coming from many sources. Everybody's heart is moved to help. My fellow associate even offered ambulances to carry prayer mats to Monas," Fifi who lived in Rawamangun, East Jakarta said.

On Thursday afternoon, Fifi wrote two of her friends are willing to carry 2 big pack of prayer mats with their private cars. There were still another 12 big pack to be carried. She asked whoever wants to help could contact her through her Facebook account namely Fifi Lifriantini.
