REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Lady Gaga’s Indonesian promoter Big Daddy Entertainment denies the concert is being cancelled. This statement refuted the idea that Gaga cancelled the concert rather than bowed to a set of conditions listed by the promoter.
The issue of cancellation emerged when Gaga’s tour manager became the spokesman in Singapore’s Music Matters. The manager said someone’s creativity could not be limited. “But the management did not say that the concert is cancelled,” the representative of Big Daddy, Arif Ramadhoni, said on Friday.
Yet, Ramadhoni could not confirm the exact time to announce the concert as he respected the ongoing evaluation process by some related parties. Once the concert proceeds, the promoter will hand over the security matters to the police.
Even though the permit has not been issued, Indonesian National Police promise to secure Gaga’s concert if it is still carried out. “If the permit is issued, we will handle the security,” the Spokesman of Indonesian National Police, Saud Usman Nasution, said on Friday.
